Preston forward Milutin Osmajic has been slapped with an eight-match suspension and handed a £15,000 fine for the biting incident involving Blackburn defender Owen Beck during the goalless Championship clash at Deepdale on September 22.
An FA representative confirmed: “The forward admitted that he committed an act of violent conduct around the 87th minute by biting an opponent.
“An independent regulatory commission imposed his sanctions following a hearing. Its written reasons will be published in due course.”
After the match, Blackburn’s manager John Eustace revealed in his press conference: “(Beck’s) got a big bite mark on the back of his neck. He’s shown all the lads. He’s a little bit quiet, a little bit shook up.”

Liverpool loanee Beck was likewise given his marching orders for retaliating against Duane Holmes in the controversial incident.
Although facing disciplinary actions, it seems Milutin Osmajic may reconnect with Beck sooner rather than later, as he’s set to feature for Montenegro against Wales in an upcoming Nations League fixture on October 14.
